Skills & Competencies
Austin Landrette has 5+ years of experience in design, specializing in K-12 education and higher education design. He has also worked on private commercial, recreational, and high-end residential projects of various scales. Austin is grateful to those mentors and instructors who continue to reinforce the potential of architecture and design to improve the built environment for everyone, regardless of their demographic.
At RG Architects, Austin’s number one priority is ensuring clients’ expectations are being met and completed projects on schedule. He works alongside the firm's principals to assist in the development and documentation of projects, from initial design concepts to final construction documents, and to construction completion. He is also a member of RGAs’ “BIM Team” helping us find new ways to improve efficiency and implement our latest standards into each project.
Throughout the process, he ensures our clients have a detailed visual understanding of the projects before they’re built. By creating visualizations — renderings, animations, and virtual reality experiences — he makes it easy for clients to understand how their project responds to the site and how their project can function upon completion.
When not in the office or in the field Austin likes to get out in nature to recharge, he also uses travel as a way to broaden his perspective on architectural solutions both at an urban and building scale.
He takes inspiration from the history and culture of the communities his projects serve; as well as exploring innovative technologies in design, materials, and construction.
