RG Architects, P.A. designed the successful Middle School Prototype Design Implementation, housing up to 1531 students. It is the first Lee County School District project built to meet the requirements of the new ICC 500 Storm Shelter Design criteria. The site work was extensive and included not only the infrastructure for the new Middle School, but also the “J” Elementary School which will be located next door on the same site.

Program included, but not limited to, a gymnasium with stage (the shelter), dining and kitchen, Science and Tech labs, classrooms and administration, typical of a Lee County Middle School. Optimized roofing performance, all LED lighting and a central energy plant utilizing magnetic bearing chillers- has made this the most energy efficient School District Project to date.
